Adventure Bike Training is off road training delivered on terrain such as hard pack clay, grass and loose rock, sand surfaces with basic obstacles as required.
We build solid foundation skills for off road riding that ensure you are prepared to ride any terrain safely with confidence without just using hope for the best technique.
We can modify & enhance the techniques / activities during training as required to best provide you with a great learning outcome that will provide simple techniques you can rely on when you find your self in riding situations not knowing what to do. You will leave the course with confidence in understanding the skills & techniques involved in bike control such as :
- Posture - sitting & standing - attack / ready position that works for all obstacles as a great foundation to enhance techniques from.
- Steering - sitting & standing - bars, pegs, brakes & body that provide the most efficient steering control considered by most that these techniques make your bike feel lighter and more manoeuvrable. This sets you up for a better cornering performance.
- Slow speed control - clutch, throttle & Brakes, the ultimate bike control you can ever learn that creates a system of rider performance that is utilised in all riding situations from high speed to slow speed obstacle crossings and terrain but learned at a standstill pace.
- Braking basics - engine, front, rear & combined for maintaining a high level of grip regardless of the speed, surface, angle, or camber of terrain. This starts to set you up for riding faster if you're a adventure rally style rider, or are looking to get there.
- Obstacles - basic ups & downs, and anything else we can find to ride up, on or over. We will provide a thought process to assess obstacle, terrain & line choice, bike control / how to use your suspension - adapted techniques for various obstacles and adventure bike but designed in a way that a solid simple foundation skill set that works regardless of the obstacle you are trying to negotiate.
