"LETS RIDE" Coach & Ride - Off Road is here for you to get out for a guided ride to put your skills into practice while experiencing adventure riding environments and challenges.
Description
Coach & Ride - Off road is aimed at the emerging adventure rider who may have completed one of our more structured training courses and now has the opportunity to stretch their legs on a fully guided adventure ride with qualified trainers / coaches & mentors.
This Woodford to Imbil ride starts in Woodford & finishes in Imbil, SEQLD
Route - is via Monsidale & Kingham, taking in a variety of terrain and surfaces with but not limited to twin trail roads, hills and water crossings ( route varies from time to time due to weather. )
Experience Level - all levels welcomed, but we cater the ride more towards the beginner, intermediate level. Even if your a race rally rider you will enjoy the ride but its not about how fast we can get to the other end.
What you can expect - from our instructors is help for students to negotiate more difficult obstacles and provide coaching as required or as requested at stop points along the ride.
Motorcycling is dangerous and briefs and rules will be supplied on the day as required for environment / route used for ride. be prepared for route and ride to change as required due to usually the weather.
Depending on numbers and weather for the ride the following is what we can / will supply as required based on our risk assessment:
Lead / sweep rider
Qualified instructor/s / Facilitators
Ability to have or call forward a support vehicle - ensure equipment and personal are safe in the event of accident or issues that may arise after the initial emergency incident or issues. ( we wont leave you to fend for yourself or gear as applicable )
First aid Trained
Communication equipment
Laughs / photos & banter because we love it
If you would like to know more please get in touch with us to discuss your concerns, we are not trying to create rally or hard enduro routes but you would need to expect off road gravel, mud, sand, water, rocks, possible logs, it all depends on the adventure.
Prerequisites
1. Own registered, road & dirt worthy motorcycle of choice. (appropriate tyres for off road surface, not street tyres please unless you want more of a challenge 80/20 road bias tyres have been used no worries but can become a little slippery in the wet stuff )
2. Licensed appropriately for motorcycle of choice. RE L license holders welcome, ensure supervised by appropriate license holder.(let us know if you don't have one we will see if we can do something to help that situation)
3. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment. Helmets must be AUS standard.
4. Fuel range - this route is approx 130 km.
